Our company was founded in 1988, ever since then we are involved in developing laboratory instrumentation.

In 1992 we started the development of our first portable density meter D-921 – for taking measurements in the tanks without sampling. It was decided to use the floating principle as the basis of the device.

In 1994 the D-921 was certified and its commercial production has begun. Since there were no portable density meters on the market, which allowed measuring density and temperature directly in tanks without sampling, this device created a furore in oil and petrochemical industries.

In 1997 the second generation of the portable submersible density meters – DM-230 – was created. The devices D-921 and DM-230 had the accuracy ±0,001 g/cm3. But we strived for higher accuracy of measurements and… We did it!!!

In 1999 we managed to manufacture the portable device with accuracy ±0,0005 g/cm3. It was the third generation of Portable Submersible Density Meters – DM-230 Mp.

In late 2001 we developed and placed in production new portable/laboratory density meters DM-230.3 and DM-230.3 and DM-310 and to expand our laboratory equipment line, in the beginning of 2002 we started to manufacture highly precise instruments DM-320’s.

Since March 2002 Lemis Baltic is ISO 9001: 2000 certified by Det Norske Veritas.
